Alamo Creek and Ulatis Creek Detention Basins Project

The Alamo Creek and Ulatis Creek Detention Basins Project Final EIR (FEIR) was certified March 2011. The FEIR was prepared by the City of Vacaville and fulfills the environmental review and disclosure requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The City is preparing to construct the Alamo Creek Detention Basin first and has applied to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA)for federal financial assistance to partially fund the project. In order to participate in project funding, FEMA has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment(DEA)for the project pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act(NEPA). The DEA has been noticied for public review and comment for a term ending on August 30, 2011. Both the City's FEIR document and FEMA's DEA document may be reviewed under the Public Works Department section of the City's website under the headings "Flood Control".

Brighton Landing EIR

The City of Vacaville will be the Lead Agency and will prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR)for the Brighton Landing Specific Plan project.
Members of the public and public agencies are invited to provide comments in writing as to the scope and content of the EIR. For other public agencies, the City needs to know the views of your agency as to the scope and content of the environmental information that is germane to your agency's statutory responsibilities in connection with the proposed project. Responsible Agencies will need to use the EIR prepared by the City when considering their permit or other approval for the project.
Due to the time limits mandated by State law, your response must be sent at the earliest possible date, but no later than the close of the NOP review period on March 17, 2011.
