Draft Consolidated Plan for the CDBG Program now available!

The City of Vacaville is pleased to announce the availability of the draft Consolidated Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for review and public comment.

On May 25, 2010, the City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located at 650 Merchant Street, then discuss and consider approval of the FY 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan and FY 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan for submission to HUD. The draft Plan is available at the Department of Housing and Redevelopment at 40 Eldridge Avenue, Suite 2, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 and 5:00. It will also be available at City Hall and the Vacaville Public Libraries. All residents and organizations are invited to participate in the Consolidated Plan development process, and the City will consider citizen comments in finalizing this document. The Housing Authority of the City of Vacaville and the Solano County Housing Authority will accept applications for placement on the Waiting List to receive rent assistance under the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program until 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2010. For more information, click here.

The City of Vacaville hereby notifies the general public of its plan to make a substantial amendment to it Citizen Participation Plan for its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The Citizen Participation Plan is necessary to provide for and encourage citizens to participate in the development of the Consolidated Plan, any substantial amendments to the Consolidated Plan, and the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), all of which are required for the CDBG Program.
The proposed revision to the Citizen Participation Plan is available for public review and comment from January 15 through close of business on February 1, 2010 at the City of Vacaville Housing and Redevelopment Department, 40 Eldridge Avenue, Suite 2, Vacaville, CA.
